Saskatoon Berries

Kindred Orchards grows Northline Saskatoons. The Orchard was planted in 2015 as knee-high plants and now they are 6 feet tall.

Taste: If a blueberry and an apple had a baby it would be a Saskatoon.

Size: 12 Acres and 12,000 plants!

Season: Mid-July to Mid-August

The Harvest:

  • Saskatoon’s are picked with our mechanical harvester very early in the morning, directly from the plant into our berry trays.

  • The berries rest in our commercial refrigerators and are cooled to remove the field heat.

  • Berries are put through the mechanical sorting line to remove the bad berries.

  • Once off the line they get bagged and sent to market the next day.

This entire process lasts a single day! Can you get any fresher?

Please wash your berries before use or put them right in the freezer for future use.
